Advocate for Arthritis! Learn About the 2012 Advocacy Summit & E-Advocate Opportunities – by Ashley Boynes-Shuck

Ignoring arthritis is unacceptable.

Right?

Right!

So, it’s time to let Congress know where you stand on arthritis and arthritis-related health issues. So take a stand, raise your voice, make a difference, and let the United States know that arthritis is unacceptable!

The annual Advocacy Summit brings together advocates, young and old, from across the country to meet with their Members of Congress. Join us in Washington, D.C. April 16-18th, 2012 to learn firsthand about our priority advocacy issues; meet face-to-face with your Members of Congress and educate them about arthritis and its devastating effects on the 50 million adults and 300,000 kids with the disease, their families, and our country’s economy;  let Congress know that more needs to be done for people with arthritis; and to share your personal story while meeting others like yourself!

You can learn more about the 2012 Arthritis Foundation Advocacy Summit, here or at our Facebook page, here.

If you cannot attend, why not become an E-Advocate, and ask your friends to join this online initiative against arthritis, too?

Sign up and “raise your hands against arthritis”  by becoming an Arthritis Foundation e-advocate. It’s free, simple and we promise to not share your information with anyone else. By registering as an advocate you’ll receive action alerts on pressing arthritis-related legislation and the Arthritis Foundation’s monthly e-newsletter, “Arthritis Bytes: News Bits from D.C.” with an update from Capitol Hill. Know about the issues that impact you most and be empowered to make a difference!

You can also make a difference by sharing your story! Arthritis IS Unacceptable — and you can tell us why by visiting http://unacceptable.arthritis.org  and sharing how arthritis has impacted you.

You CAN make a difference, your voice WILL be heard.

Take a stand against arthritis today!

Stay Well,

Ashley Boynes-Shuck
